Day 391, All That

My Friday was all that. Started with my very first Power Teaching lesson to Mrs. Onstott's first period Language Arts class. That was fun :) I'm taking a sort of risk by incorporating those strategies for a video lesson, but I figure,,, oh well, what the heck, right? If I fail, I fail big.... and right there on videotape for the whole world to analyze :) I go back Wednesday for the actual lesson..... I will keep you posted. Maybe I'll just put it on You Tube.

Looking back, it was an eventful week. Now, if I could only get rid of the gray in my hair, I'd be set.

Time for bed.... Think I'll have to take a little trip to Macys in the morning.... One day sale---from 9-12.

Uh oh... Jane is crying... Nice going, G-Pa :)

Day 378, Good Friday

Yes... this was a good Friday for sure. What would make it better? If Monday was a holiday, today was payday, and I had Mockingjay to read. But no complaints. I enjoyed work (hey, how about that???), took a very long walk with Patricia, and ate Panda tonight. So what now? How about a full night's sleep, brunch with a friend, and babysitting Jane tomorrow? Yep, dat's good!

Got lots on my plate tomorrow---gotta get ready for choir practice, plan a Sunday School lesson, see Jane, visit with Sharon, buy Mockingjay, exercise, and of course, update my blog :) A full day indeed. If there's time, I'd like to work on my sequel too. I have been working scenes in my mind, and am anxious to write them.

The girl who did my nails, did NOT do a very good job. They are too fat and too thick. I just thought you would like to know that :)

Yes Raechel, you should think of a purpose for your blog. Why not? I'm sure you can think of something off the beaten path.

Saw a bizarre movie tonight.... Tenderness. Russell Crowe. Very strange.

7-day outlook looks good.

Day 275, Getting trunky...in more way than one

This has certainly been an interesting week for my family. In the space of one week, my parents got new La-Z-Boy chairs, I got a call from my son in Peru, a visit from my son in the desert, Ellen took her first AP exam, Raechel got a raise, Jane had heart surgery, I got offered a new position for next year, and Ron I went to see Jane...and she recognized him...and reached for him.

Yes. It's been a good week for the Morgans.... Yup. Dot's a goot one. :)

Now I begin the challenge of boxing up my classroom before the end of the school year, and getting my things into a storage for a year. New challenges often come with a price tag...this is one of them. Weird to think I won't be in a classroom next year.... But when I sit and write sub plans for 12 days, I have to admit, I'm glad that won't be part of the job description next year.

Hmmmm 12 days of sub plans.... I think I feel a song coming on..... I'll have to work on that :)

Day 247, Ahhhhhhh, Friday!

Have I ever mentioned that Friday is my favorite day of the week? Just checking. Dropped Ellen off at Youth Conference tonight, so it's just Ron and me alone for the weekend. ... Well, alone with two cats, two dogs, and whatever stray happens along.

My father asked me tonight if I had "come down" from the news about my book. Um, NOPE. I can't imagine coming down off this cloud any time soon.

I had a great talk last night with the president of West-Ed. She gave me quite a bit to chew on...Now my mind is twirling. It's all good, though. No complaints.

Mick is having a rough night.... Mr. Neurotic is more confused than ever. Ah,,, poor thing.

Change is good,right?

Day 199, Frustrating Friday

Freakin flu shot.... I feel like C---RAP! So, it feels like I have the flu. I am not happy!!! Don't EVEN ask me about RAKs tonight. I might just bite your head off.

I think I'm done with my book.

I still haven't done my grades...and they are due by Monday morning.

I think the Olympic event of needle threading should definitely get prime time coverage.

I think I'm going to need NyQuil tonight.

Is it spring break yet?

Day 192, More pills please!

Friday night. La-Z-Boy, Nyquil.

All that, and ice cream too.

If I could only breath.... it would be a red-letter night.

Day 60, 2 months down, only 10 to go....

There it is. I am now 1/6 of the way through my year. Cool. I'm too grumpy to write tonight, because I've been working non-stop since 3:00 to prepare for tomorrow's inservice. I want it to be meaningful and engaging for our staff. Truth be known, the majority of them won't care. This ain't their first rodeo.

Ah, but to Jenny---you are too kind. Thank you for the cyber-hug :) It made me smile. Please look me up when you're in Temecula. I will keep you persona non-grata---or whatever the heck that word is.

Gonna wrap it up and get to bed.... gotta be to work by 7am (a near-impossible task for me---as most of you know.)

Tomorrow is Friday. The word Friday has a magical ring to it, doesn't it?
